Hyundai has announced they have started producing the new 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz at their factory in Alabama. Built on the same assembly line as the Hyundai Santa Fe, Sonata, Elantra, and Tucson.

The new Santa Cruz will offer Flint drivers a standard 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine through an eight-speed automatic. Additionally, the Santa Cruz has an available 2.5-liter turbocharged engine with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic for those looking for more power and performance.

Dubbed as a Sport-Adventure Vehicle, 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz features a 4.3-foot bed for carrying both gear and heavy-duty cargo such as mulch and lumber. In addition, the Santa Cruz will have 3,000 pounds of towing as standard, with an optional turbo powertrain having 5,000 pounds of available towing capacity.

The new Hyundai Santa Cruz will feature smart device connectivity with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. Moreover, it will feature a full suite of advanced safety features thanks to Hyundai SmartSense.

Hyundai released teaser photos this week of the new 2022 Hyundai Elantra N high-performance sedan ahead of its debut in July. From what we know so far, 2022 Elantra will feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing over 270 horsepower and over 280 pound-feet of torque.

Oswosso customers may look forward to the new Hyundai Elantra N featuring an available six-speed manual transmission and, reportedly, an available eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The new Elantra N will reportedly feature a stiffer suspension, a larger brake system, and aggressive styling cues, including dual exhaust tips and a performance spoiler.
